David Claxton has dedicated over 30 years to public education. Claxton started his teaching career as a Special Education Teacher. He then transitioned to Assistant Principal then Principal, before serving as Jackson Parish Superintendent for the past 9 years. Claxton has also served for four years in the state office of the LASSA organization, holding positions from Secretary to Immediate Past President, before retiring on June 30 of this year.
